The mutuals management platform
The business management system for community health mutuals in the Littoral
The management platform is the information system designed for the day-to-day management of community health mutuals affiliated to UMUSACOL: members, enrolments, contributions, benefits and reports.
Overview
The management platform centralises the day-to-day management of community health mutuals: register of members and their beneficiaries, enrolment files, contributions, benefits, mutual products, partner facilities, statistics and reports. UMUSACOL supervises the ecosystem and publicly shares only the authorised information. The system is under development: no feature is presented as operational before it goes live.
Introduction
The management platform is the business information system of the community health mutuals affiliated to UMUSACOL. It aims to equip each mutual with the same management standards, while allowing UMUSACOL to supervise the network and publish reliable information on the showcase website.
The challenge
Mutual management still relies largely on scattered and unharmonised tools: manual registers, isolated files, partial tracking of contributions and benefits. This limits the reliability of data, transparency towards members and the consolidation of statistics at network level.
Objectives
- Harmonise the management of community health mutuals in the Littoral.
- Make member, contribution and benefit data more reliable.
- Make it easier to follow up membership requests received through the public website.
- Consolidate statistics and reports by mutual and by period.
- Prepare the publication of authorised public information on the UMUSACOL website.
Role of the platform
The platform is the business management tool. UMUSACOL, for its part, supervises the ecosystem and provides the institutional presentation and the showcase of the network. Management data stays in the platform; only the public information validated by UMUSACOL is published.
Expected benefits
- A common management framework for all affiliated mutuals.
- Faster follow-up of membership files.
- Better visibility of contributions and benefits for members.
- Periodic reports useful for steering the mutuals and UMUSACOL.
Target audience
Affiliated community health mutuals, mutual managers and administrators, UMUSACOL as the supervising union, and indirectly members and their beneficiaries.
How it works
Each mutual manages its own files in the platform. Membership requests submitted on the public website are recorded and then passed on to the platform of the mutual concerned, which reviews them. Consolidated statistics are reported to UMUSACOL for supervision of the network.
Integration with UMUSACOL
The platform handles the business management of mutuals, UMUSACOL handles supervision, coordination of the ecosystem and the showcase, and the mutuals’ showcase pages publish the authorised public information. This arrangement guarantees the confidentiality of management data and the reliability of published information.
Future developments
The platform is linked to the UMUSACOL website for two purposes only: the mutual receives the membership requests submitted online, and the website displays aggregated figures from it (with no personal data). Planned developments concern feedback on validated memberships and the publication of consolidated public indicators.
